Før Piebald var kendt for deres anthemiske fællessang og excentriske charme, var der Venetian Blinds, en udvikling fra hardcore-rødder til noget helt unikt med al deres karakteristiske kaos og kløgt. 

Oprindeligt udgivet i 1999 på Big Wheel Recreation, bragte ''If It Weren’t For Venetian Blinds, It Would Be Curtains For Us All'' Piebalds blanding af det oprigtige og det satiriske til 90'ernes emo- og indie-rock scene 

Nu præsenterer Iodine Recordings stolt en deluxe-genudgivelse af dette essentielle album. Fuldstændig remasteret til vinyl af Jack Shirley (Joyce Manor, Quicksand) i The Atomic Garden, og udgået siden den oprindelige udgivelse. Denne remasterede udgave indeholder fuldt opdateret kunstværk rekonstrueret fra originale kildematerialer og fotos, samt en retrospektiv kommentar skrevet af bandet.

Udspringer fra den blomstrende Merrimack Valley-scene, der også producerede Converge og Cave In, byggede Venetian Blinds bro mellem undergrundens post-hardcore eksperimenter og den hook-drevne sangskrivning, der snart skulle definere en æra. Vittig, hjertelig og umulig at kategorisere, denne deluxe-genudgivelse fejrer et afgørende stykke af Piebalds historie.
