Kiss of Death wurde erstmals 2006 veröffentlicht und ist das 18. Studioalbum von Motorhead sowie der Nachfolger ihres Albums Inferno aus dem Jahr 2004. Unverkennbar Motorhead knüpfen sie nahtlos an ihren vorherigen Stil an und setzen die härtere Seite der Band mit herausragenden Tracks wie "Sucker", "God Was Never On Your Side" und weiteren fort. Das Album enthält außerdem Gastauftritte von Mike Inez (Alice in Chains) und C.C. DeVille (Poison). Die 20th-Anniversary-Edition wurde neu gemastert und in Half-Speed-Technik von den Originalbändern geschnitten, inklusive Linernotes von Dave Ling vom Classic Rock Magazine. Zusätzlich enthält sie eine exklusive Bonus-LP mit einem Live-Mitschnitt des Auftritts der Band beim Lowlands Festival 2007 in Biddinghuizen, Niederlande, der erstmals offiziell auf Vinyl erscheint.
