Onyx, das dritte Studioalbum von Pop Evil, wurde am 14. Mai 2013 veröffentlicht und enthält die Single "Trenches", die bereits am 28. Februar desselben Jahres erschienen war. Das Album war einen Tag vor dem offiziellen Veröffentlichungsdatum zum Streaming verfügbar. Produziert von Johnny K, gemischt von Jay Ruston und gemastert von Paul Logus, enthält das Album zusätzliche Gesangsproduktion von Dave Bassett und zusätzliche Programmierung von Bassett und Matt Doughtery. Das Album debütierte auf Platz 39 der Billboard 200 und erreichte Platz 9 der Independent Albums Chart mit 10.000 verkauften Exemplaren in der ersten Woche. Bis Juli 2015 wurden in den USA insgesamt 122.000 Exemplare verkauft.
