I 36 Crazyfists si sono formati nel 1994 a Nikiski, in Alaska, e hanno pubblicato il loro secondo album in studio, A Snow Capped Romance, nel 2004 su Roadrunner Records. I brani "At the End of August" e "Bloodwork" sono stati rilasciati come singoli; quest'ultimo è stato incluso nel film del 2004 Resident Evil: Apocalypse. L'album è stato prodotto da James Paul Wisner ed è considerato dalla community un classico del metalcore.
