Net als bij eerdere releases neemt de band op Tree City Sessions 3 nieuwe versies op van eerdere Dance Gavin Dance-nummers, allemaal met de huidige zanger Andrew Michael Wells. De band heeft live studioversies van elk nummer op het album gefilmd, die ter ondersteuning van de release zullen worden gebruikt. Dance Gavin Dance zal van april tot juli uitgebreid door de VS touren.
