Het album had vier singles: "Survival of the Fittest," "Temperature's Rising," "Give Up the Goods (Just Step)," plus de meest succesvolle "Shook Ones, Pt. II". Het album werd platina gecertificeerd en stond bekend om zijn enorme invloed op de oostkust.
