Originalmente lançado em 2006, 'The Stench of Redemption' apresenta 9 faixas de veemente invectiva anticristã apoiada por uma barragem de blast-beats e riffing sombriamente direto. Gravado no lendário templo do Death Metal, Morrisound Studios, Tampa, Flórida. 'The Stench of Redemption' foi o primeiro disco dos Deicide a incluir os novos guitarristas Jack Owen (ex-Cannibal Corpse) e Ralph Santolla (ex-Iced Earth, ex-Death), substituindo os irmãos Hoffman, que abandonaram a banda de forma acrimoniosa em 2005.
