Innan Piebald var kända för sina anthemiska allsångslåtar och udda charm, fanns Venetian Blinds, en utveckling från hardcore-rötter till något alldeles eget med all deras karakteristiska kaos och kvickhet.

Ursprungligen utgiven 1999 på Big Wheel Recreation, "If It Weren't For Venetian Blinds, It Would Be Curtains For Us All'' förde Piebalds blandning av det uppriktiga och det satiriska till 90-talets emo- och indierockscen.

Nu presenterar Iodine Recordings stolt en deluxe-återutgåva av detta essentiella album. Helt remastrad för vinyl av Jack Shirley (Joyce Manor, Quicksand) på The Atomic Garden, och utgången sedan originalutgåvan. Denna remastrade utgåva har helt uppdaterad design rekonstruerad från originalkällor och foton, samt en retrospektiv kommentar skriven av bandet.

Med rötter i den blomstrande Merrimack Valley-scenen som också producerade Converge och Cave In, överbryggade Venetian Blinds klyftan mellan underground post-hardcore-experiment och den hook-drivna låtskrivandet som snart skulle definiera en era. Kvick, innerlig och omöjlig att kategorisera, denna deluxe-återutgåva hyllar en viktig del av Piebalds historia.
