最初於2006年發行的《The Stench of Redemption》收錄了9首殘暴反基督的歌曲，並以猛烈的爆炸節拍和陰鬱直接的即興重複段為支撐。錄製於傳奇的死亡金屬聖地——佛羅里達州坦帕市的Morrisound Studios。《The Stench of Redemption》是Deicide首張包含新吉他手Jack Owen（前Cannibal Corpse成員）和Ralph Santolla（前Iced Earth、前Death成員）的專輯，取代了2005年不歡而散的Hoffman兄弟。
